How to advertise on social media sites?

Social media sites have really added a different flavor to advertising in this Internet-driven age. On one side businesses are using 'cloud' to enhance their profitability, and on the other are using social media to increase their visibility.

The promotion on social media can be segmented into two parts - paid and unpaid. We all know social media does provide 'like never before' experience to its users as far as connecting and interacting with audience is concerned. Although some companies are using unpaid methods to approach their audience, some are opting for paid advertisements to make it possible.

In my earlier post, I have already shared some basic concepts of advertising on social media. Now moving ahead, let us talk about some tips how to have effective advertising on social media in terms of display.

1) Use right picture: Platforms like LinkedIn and Facebook to display a picture with their advertisement. Make sure you are using right picture that can be easily identified with your business. The images should have very good clarity, giving correct impression to the viewer. This will allow viewer to get connected easily with your products and services.

2) Precise content: With limitations in terms of characters, you have to make sure that you are making maximum use of the space with precise and quality content. Your message should generate a call to action, allowing you to get maximum output from your advertisement. If not all, please try to include major features of your products and services in that content. You have to be very clear about what have to highlight, your products or your vertical expertise. This will help you tap serious and potential leads from the advertisements.

3) Display right web address visible: It is very essential for a marketer to display his website address along with these advertisements. And marketers do share it regularly. Make it sure that the address is being displayed correctly without any spelling mistake. This will increase the chances of getting maximum hits to that page.

More tips on social media advertising will follow soon.

Till then, stay connected!
