This influence has really made customers the king of social media marketing. Nowadays, potential buyers are preferring social media sites like Facebook, Twitter to seek the existing comments or feedback about brands or companies before making any buying decision. And this trend is gaining momentum day-by-day. Such developments are very much essential to underline the significance of customer powers in today's modern marketing. With the emergence of social media, customers have now becoming more aware about their rising importance.

Over the years, organizations are using several tools to measure their customer management strategies. However, small businesses lacked such tools owing to financial constraints and in-sufficient manpower. But now with social media, even small businesses can have influential CRM mechanism in place. This CRM aspect of social media is very crucial for strengthening the role of customers in today's online marketing sphere.
